About Mercy

A researcher.
An athlete.
A strategist.

Doctoral researcher. GB international weightlifter. DEI consultant.

I'm Mercy Brown — a consultant, researcher, and athlete whose work sits at the intersection of behavioural science, diversity and inclusion, and high performance.

My doctoral research in psychological anthropology gives me a framework for understanding how culture, identity, and behaviour interact at depth. I bring that academic rigour directly into every consulting engagement I deliver.

As a GB international weightlifter with over 15 years of competitive experience, I understand what it means to perform under pressure, to train systems rather than just individuals, and to build environments where people can genuinely bring their best.

I founded my consulting practice to close the gap between what organisations say about inclusion and what they actually do.

My PhD research examines how organisations construct and perform identity, and what that means for inclusion, belonging, and behaviour change at scale. This informs every piece of work I deliver.

I believe the most effective inclusion work starts with genuine understanding of human behaviour — not frameworks designed to pass audits.
